Upcoming Events where you can find the College Hill Neighborhood Association

Upcoming and ongoing events

CHNA Annual Picnic.

The College Hill Neighborhood Association has traditionally hosted an annual picnic in mid to late August.  Traditionally, the association provides grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, along with ice cold lemonade. Paper plates and plastic utensils will also be provided. All you are asked to bring is a side dish or dessert and be prepared to have a great time.

This year's event will be held on Saturday, August 25th, at 5 pm in Seerley Park (note the change from the traditional Thursday picnic). It will be a joint picnic with Overman Park Neighborhood Association. There will be music, and children's games. As always, the picnic is held potluck style with CHNA providing the meat.

Check out some pictures from the past picnics.

Neighborhood Clean-up

No information is available on the next clean up.

CHNA Neighborhood Tree Lighting.

The College Hill Neighborhood Association has traditionally sponsored the decoration of one or more trees in Seerley Park and hosted an official tree lighting ceremony.  This traditional event is a time for neighborhood residents—young, old, families, students—to gather together to celebrate the season.  Typically a local dignitary has been invited to light the tree.  Hot chocolate, hot cider, and cookies are  served.  Santa even takes time out of his busy holiday schedule to make an appearance and pass out candy canes to the young and young at heart.

Keep an eye on this space for information about the scheduling of this annual event.
